Who is iVan Budimir?
Hey there, thanks for stopping by! So who the heck am I?
My name is iVan (yes, I know how to punctuate my own name).
Born in Belgrade, former-former-former Yugoslavia, raised as a happy child that had a penchant for gluing things together and setting plastic objects to fire; I grew up in a country led by a lovable chubby commie with a bad leg.
Growing up under “regime” ain’t all that’s cracked up to be – sure we had some good times lining up for bread and eggs, huddling to keep warm (it kept us together), or trying to find our way through a complex of identical gray concrete behemoths that we called apartment buildings:

I take an issue with things like dripping faucets, sounds of chalk on blackboards or shooting people dead. Naturally, once the civil war broke out, I patriotically volunteered to ride a first bicycle outta there.
I originally moved to Vancouver, where I met my wife Tanya. Shortly thereafter we moved to a small town of Ft. Langley on the outskirts of the city, which is where we live with our stuffed rabbit by the name of Coco (did I just share too much?)
On the busy subject, I started my first business in 2006, but it didn’t do all that well. I failed where so many others have – learning what marketing is really all about.
I also gave network marketing a go, but again had no idea what I was doing, so that didn’t go all that well either. Actually it sucked.
But then I met some really smart folks that, just like me, were struggling at first when suddenly their businesses turned around.
In talking to them I found their secret, one thing they all had in common – they learned the value of education (duh!). And it’s not that these were folks with bulbous heads and thick glasses, they simply weren’t shy to ask for help.

They learned the ins and outs of attraction marketing. And most important, they learned the value of hanging around those who could teach them the tricks.
And best of all, their message is that it’s not hard to learn to do the same. So I found some that were willing to teach; I read books, I took courses, and I found a mentor.
As amazed as I am today that 95% of businesses fail in the first 2 years because their owners “don’t have time to read” (up to 99% in some industries), I have to admit I was in the same category. Having learned some very valuable lessons, it’s hard to look back and identify with the person I was just months ago.
My business is turning around, and for the first time I’m in a position to help others do the same.
Hence this website.
There is no reason that you should become that statistic. If I can pass along what I learned and save you from having to go through debating bankruptcy, then my mission is accomplished.
Cheesy? You betcha! I just don’t give a @#%$ (read: atpoundpercentdollar)
So I hope you enjoy my rants here (and if you do, please comment on the blog).
And, for crying out loud – don’t be afraid to ask questions. There is no shame in failing. Except if you never ask for help.
See you out there.
